Pico da Pedra da Mina
- Passa Quatro
Pedra da Mina is officially the fourth highest mountain in Brazil, standing at 2,798 meters above sea level. It is located in Serra Fina, one of the most challenging sections of the Serra da Mantiqueira. Its summit marks the border between the states of Minas Gerais and São Paulo, forming the tripoint between the municipalities of Passa Quatro (MG), Lavrinhas (SP), and Queluz (SP).
It is also the highest point in the Serra da Mantiqueira and in the state of São Paulo, as well as the second highest mountain in Minas Gerais. Reaching the summit is considered very difficult, requiring physical preparation and, in most cases, the hiring of a local guide.
Since 2022, access control and fees have been in place from April to September.
